FOUNDER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR LAMIKA DEON

If you've seen the 2013 & 2014 Christmas & Easter Celebrations at Evangel Cathedral you've been introduced to the dynamic work of Choreographer LaMika Deon. 

 

The forward thinking choreographer desires to do more than to pioneer in the field of dance. Her hope is to use her skillset to affect change and inspire creativity in the lives of the dancers she comes in contact with.

 

Currently Ms. LaMika manages her own studio & company in Upper Marlboro, MD. Her experience as a dancer at the Atlanta Ballet, Joy of Motion, Marcellus Dance Studio, Spirit Wings Dance Company (choreographer at the latter) have given more than ample insight into creating technically sound dancers.

 

Ms. LaMika knew from an early age that she would open and start her own dance company; one where she could develop dancers with integrity and skill; as well as introduce them to innovative choreography. Seeing her vision come to life has truly been a blessing.
